DATE: Georgian, c.1780

A fine antique spinner fob pendant set with an intaglio carved Citrine base, depicting a dog sat beside an obelisk, while the sun is shining, along with the words L'HEURE PASSE L'AMITIE RESTE. This translates to, time passes, friendship remains. A sentimental piece for sure, as we all know how loyal our animals can be.

It's crafted in 15k gold throughout and dates from the Georgian period, circa 1780. 

An obelisk is a tapered monolithic pillar, originally in Pairs at the entrances of ancient Egyptian temples. For the Egyptians, the obelisk was a reverential monument, commemorating the dead, representing their kings, and honouring their gods.
